Police: Four dead in violent crimes in Weilheim : DSN During an operation in Weilheim, the police found four dead on Friday - apparently including the alleged perpetrator. Two victims have gunshot wounds. The investigation is proceeding swiftly.
A violent crime occurred in Weilheim, Upper Bavaria, on Friday afternoon. A 59-year-old is said to have killed two 57-year-old women and a 60-year-old man and then killed himself. This was reported by the police headquarters in Upper Bavaria South. The four people were related to each other.
Police: Bodies of the men have gunshot wounds
As a spokesman for the BR24 police headquarters said on request, the two men - both the 60-year-old victim found in a garden and the alleged perpetrator - had gunshot wounds. The bodies of the women, on the other hand, apparently had no gunshot wounds, as reported by the dpa news agency, citing police spokesman Alexander Huber.
According to BR research, the two female victims were twin sisters. The relationship between them and the alleged perpetrator is still unclear. The police are not providing any information on this at this time.
Alarm shortly before 5 p.m. - seriously injured person in the garden
A woman first noticed a seriously injured man in the garden of an apartment building in the center of town and called the emergency services and the police around 4:50 p.m. The emergency services tried to revive the 60-year-old, but he died on the spot from his injuries.
The Weilheim police then immediately launched a large-scale manhunt, supported by numerous emergency services from surrounding departments. However, the search was unsuccessful for several hours.
Another body found on park bench
Around 7:15 p.m., the officials received another emergency call: a passer-by had noticed a lifeless person on a park bench in the Holzhofstraße area on the Ammer – in a completely different corner of Weilheim. The rescue workers could only determine the death of the 59-year-old. The police then drove to the man's property and found other dead people there - two 57-year-old women - with massive injuries.
Police have not released any further details for the time being
The police are currently assuming that the 59-year-old first fatally injured the 57-year-old woman and the 60-year-old man and then took his own life. According to the police, the four fatalities were not two married couples.
The police spokesman did not want to deny or confirm whether there was a farewell letter or something similar in the house of the alleged perpetrator. In the coming days, no further publications by the police on details or background to the crime are to be expected, it said. The investigations are still in the early stages. A press conference or a press statement at the weekend is also not planned, the spokesman said.
