Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdağ was born on April 1, 1965 in the Akdağmadeni district of Yozgat. Graduated from Uludağ University Faculty of Theology, Bozdağ completed his master's degree in Uludağ University Social Sciences Institute, Department of History of Religions, and also graduated from Selçuk University Faculty of Law.
Working as a self-employed lawyer, BozdaÄŸ became the Fazilet Party AkdaÄŸmadeni Mayor Candidate in 1999, and served as the Vice President for Political and Legal Affairs of the Fazilet Party Yozgat (1999-2001).
Bozdag, Deputy Provincial Chairman for Political and Legal Affairs in the founding provincial administration of AK Party Yozgat (2001-2002), Provincial Coordinator and Regional Coordinator in various provinces in the AK Party Organization Presidency (2002-2007), Member of the AK Party Central Decision and Administrative Board (MKYK). He served as AK Party Deputy Chairman for Election Affairs (2015) and was elected as a Member of Parliament for Yozgat in the 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 26th and 27th legislative terms.
